Rose, Greenhouse Manager
What led you to Full Circle Farm?
I was working for EarthCorps, which is an AmeriCorps Program, and we took a field trip to the farm. I wanted to learn from a vegetable farm that was successful. After speaking with Amy (former Greenhouse Manager) I had a really good vibe about the farm, and I was stoked about the eagle's nest.
When did you know you wanted to be a farmer?
My love for farming grew while working as an intern for Full Circle. I knew it was the path for me when after working on the farm all day I would go directly to my community plot and garden for the remainder of the evening. I totally found a passion.
What makes this job different from others?
The pace is slower at other jobs. People care a lot here…they think about the farm when they leave because they love it. Carnation is such a great community, and the farm is so beautiful.
What is your favorite cookbook?
Sunday Suppers at Lucques: Seasonal Recipes from Market to Table, by Suzanne Goin. It's split into seasons with gorgeous pictures and great recipe. I just love looking at it…it makes me happy.
