Betsy, Customer Service Representative

Betsy, Customer Service Representative What led you to Full Circle Farm and why?
I had been doing essentially the same job at a company that worked with a number of farms, but the opportunity to work at the source, and watch the food grow before my eyes was an exciting one!

Describe some current value systems that are relevant to your work at Full Circle Farm.
I believe in sustainable agriculture, good food, and community-building businesses.

Do you like to cook?
I'm a better baker than cook. My favorite things to make (and eat!) are fruity desserts - berry crisp, strawberry bread, rhubarb anything. Meal-wise, a bowl of soup and good bread is the perfect meal.

When you're not working, how do you like to spend your time?
I like reading, knitting, taking long walks, and laughing.

What is the best book you've read so far this year?
Jayber Crow, by Wendell Berry. Soooo good.

Linda, Site Coordinator and Customer Service Manager

Linda, Customer Service Representative How long have you been with Full Circle Farm and what did you do prior?
I've been with Full Circle since December 2007. My path includes work as a Teacher, Writer and Editor, and Photographer.

What led you to Full Circle Farm?
I love being on the farm. For me, it is a very full circle experience. Both my parents are from farming families. My Dad's people settled and farmed the Treasure Valley in Idaho, and Mom is descended from Cyrus McCormick, who invented the Reaper and revolutionized American Farming in the mid 1800's. A lot of my best childhood memories are of farm summers, hard labors and beautiful abundances. I feel lucky to now be working amidst so much life and so much diversity.

When you're not on the farm, what do you like to do?
I am addicted to travel, a life-long Quilter, and a big fan of Bluegrass.

Do you enjoy cooking?
Although I may be best known for my brownies, my favorite things to cook are big dinners. Nothing makes me happier than to spend a day puttering in the kitchen creating a great meal that brings family and friends together, and holds them at my table sharing laughter and conversation.

Patricia, Customer Service Representative
Describe your role as Customer Service Representative with Full Circle Farm. I have been working with Full Circle Farm since June 2007, but have been in customer service roles since I was 14. I also do massage therapy at a clinic specializing in Ayurvedic treatments where serving our clients is the most important piece, just like serving our members here at Full Circle Farm! I ensure members are happy with our service and their food, while keeping them educated about organics.

Describe some current values systems that are relevant to your work at Full Circle Farm.
Using less energy and creating sustainability is important, and doing it in a community where there is that common ground is such a good feeling. Together with my convictions about eating natural and organic foods, the pretty land and all the nice people make the farm a beautiful place to work.

What is the best part about working at Full Circle Farm?
In educating our customers, I have the opportunity to maintain an active mind and also educate myself. I am constantly doing research on different fruits and veggies, and looking up answers to a member's questions or concerns.

What is your favorite meal and do you like to cook?
I love all food. Combinations are limitless, and I will eat almost anything (that's vegan). Steamed spinach mixed with some nutritional yeast and vegan cream cheese is awesome with a side of sautéed turnips. But, nothing is better than chocolate. I absolutely love chocolate.

When you're not working, how do you like to spend your time?
Outside anywhere. Camping, hiking or just taking some time to smell the flowers. It gives me a moment to not think about anything else going on and just enjoy being...it's refreshing!
