Is Full Circle Farm a CSA?
Full Circle is extremely proud of our CSA roots. From our first harvest back in 1996, Andrew and Wendy grew food with the intent to
sell it directly to customers. Over time, Full Circle became the largest CSA in the nation, the whole time growing good food for
good people.
Today, we have expanded our services beyond what some might consider the traditional boundaries of the Community Supported
Agriculture movement.
While we still organically farm more than 400 acres of land, to meet our customers' needs we have established an international
network for organic farms from which we also source produce.
We've also expanded the reach and product set of our service: in addition to serving households near our farm in Western
Washington, we also provide fresh produce and artisan groceries to families across Alaska.
So, here's how we look at it - call us a CSA if you think that fits. Either way, we're going to keep working to make it simple and
easy for our customers to live the good food life!
How does your subscription work? Are there any fees?
Membership to Full Circle's fresh produce program requires no commitment and provides access to a delicious variety of the best
organic produce available.
Subscription frequency is weekly or every other week; and the recurring orders can be skipped or canceled at any time before the
close of an open order's modification period.
There are two subscription sizes to choose from, and from there you can increase quantity or purchase additional produce or grocery
items to make each order perfect for your household. Visit the "subscription" section of our site for pricing and more details.
Is all the produce grown by or provided by Full Circle certified organic?
Yes! All produce offered by Full Circle is, and will always be organically grown and certified. We make certain that all of our
farm partners are also following sustainable and healthy organic processes and certification. You can trust that any produce in our
box is real food from real farmers.
Are all of Full Circle non-produce items organic?
No. Though we source organic food as often as possible, we recognize that for certain artisan products, such as cheese, the highest
quality products are not always certified organic. In those cases, we would deliberately target producers who use only the best
ingredients, sourced as sustainably as possible. Many small artisan producers have excellent quality products, some even using
organic ingredients, but have not (in some cases "yet") become certified. What you can count on is Full Circle only carrying products that
have met our high good food quality standards - and sometime this means even certified products wouldn't make the cut!
Where does the food come from?
We grow over 300 different varieties of vegetables, fruits and herbs right on Full Circle. In the spring, summer, and fall, the majority of
the vegetables that comprise each order come directly from our farm. When this is not possible, we always try to source from local
producers, whether from Washington, Alaska or bordering states. It is also important to us that we provide variety to our members,
beyond the constraints of availability in our growing region and of individual farms. For example, Full Circle grows only a small selection
of fruit, so we forge connections with other organic farmers to bring orchard fruit, grapes, tomatoes, avocados, etc. To expand upon
this variety, we also partner with some exceptional organic growers outside of the Northwest region to meet year-round member
demand.
How do I pay for my order?
Billing occurs each Wednesday of any week during which an order is received. Invoices will be e-mailed, and we will charge your
credit card associated with the account.
We offer a 5% discount to those who purchase 10 boxes at a time. For details,
log in to the Membership section and select the Payment link.
If you wish to skip an order or cancel your account, the request must be made before the close of your modification period.
Unclaimed orders not canceled in time are the financial responsibility of members.
Can I customize my order?
A subscription to Full Circle provides easy access to the Membership section of our
web site. From here you'll be able to view your weekly or bi-weekly order, and easily add or remove items to and from your upcoming
order within an order's modification period. The length of this period will remain consistent, based upon your geographic location.
You'll receive a weekly reminder regarding modification times via a "Fresh This Week" e-mail and on your membership home page.
What if I go on vacation?
From the Membership section, an e-mail can be sent to customer service to request that your order be skipped or your service made
temporarily inactive. You can also e-mail CS@FullCircleFarm.com, or call 425.333.4677
or 1-866-EAT WELL at any time Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM PST.
We must receive requests within the same order modification period for it to be applicable to a current order.
What if I don't have a computer?
A computer is not required. Full Circle has a fully staffed Customer Service department able to do everything for you, from sign-up to
customization of your orders. Just call the farm at 866.EAT WELL any time Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM PST.
Do I have to have a credit card?
Alternately, you may use a debit card, but a valid electronic form of payment is required for service.
Can I become a pick-up host site?
It's easy to host a pick up site. Full Circle's team handles all the logistics. Deliveries are made at the same time each week and there's no
handling of boxes or money.
Full Circle's team handles all logistics and member communications, freeing the Host Site from any responsibility for taking
payments or answering farm-related questions. All concerns may be directed to the Full Circle Team via the contact info provided.
Our courteous drivers will deliver the boxes at the same time each week, leaving them neatly stacked and removing all empty boxes
from the site. Host Site coordinators needn't be available at the time of delivery, though a contact number will be required.
There are many intrinsic benefits to being a Host Site:
- Your employees, community members, or residents will thank you for this convenient and healthy benefit!
- Your partnership with Full Circle shows support of local agriculture, and helps to create a healthy regional food system.
- Increased foot traffic into your business or organization exposes more community members to your programs and services.
- Host Sites may receive either Full Circle donated produce, gift certificates, or produce boxes, the weekly value of which is
determined by the number of site members.
